Great photos and narrative. That's the first thing I noticed, the lack of foliage. Not something we see a lot of here in OZ. On the positive side Spring will come, blue skies and warm days arrive, new buds will appear and that glorious mass of fresh green will follow. Gives a nice sense of the progression of the seasons.

Those corners look like a good ride was had.

I've noticed that about a lot of the trees in Australia. They turn beautiful green in the Spring, then about the middle of Summer, they all go up in flames. I think I like our system better
