I grew up in Waterbury and use to ride in the NW area a lot in the '70's.Living in Groton,CT now. Useing New Milford as the furthest SE point, any roads you go on will be really nice. Rt. 7 follows the Hosatonic river and gets you to Cornwell to the covered bridge. Lime Rock park (a race track) is near by too. Kent is good for a food stop, but bring money. This is Connecticut after all!
Hudson Valley has lots of wineries and is a nice ride too. Check out "ride-ct.com" for lots on info of the area.....enjoy your ride.
