Regarding ABS operation, does the CB require a “bleed down” during fluid replacement? BMW needs this, which is basically performing a standard bleed, then cycling the ABS pump to release air that might be trapped in the system, then bleeding again. BMW specific tools allow the consumer to cycle the pump and avoid the dealership.
Is this necessary on a Honda ABS? Could air be trapped in the ABS?
I’m a bit split on ABS. My last bike, an ‘07 BMW, was my first that had it. Honestly not sure if I ever felt it engage while riding. But, despite religious adherence to the proper fluid replacement interval and procedure, my ABS system failed, and due to the CAN Bus system, this also disabled other essential systems on the bike. Replacement parts and labor were prohibitively expensive, leading me to sell it for my non-ABS CB.
