Austin to Terlingua

Would highly recommend the Marathon Motel in Marathon, TX and dinner at the 12 Gage Restaurant if you're in the mood for some fine cuisine.



If the weather is nice you can take a dip in the Rio Grande here.



Would definitely ride 170 west of Terlingua to Presidio through Big Bend State Park. Best time to see it is in the morning with the sun at your back.

Thanks Stichill! I've been going out to the Terlingua area since I was a kid. I love the hot springs! And 170 between Presidio and the ghost town is one of my favorites. I've visited DOM a few times. It's almost a rite of passage for boyfriends past to accompany me to my beautiful desert.
