Thanks Hovmod, very pleasing read, and like Cormanus said, dreamtime. Your advice is well understood, in particular since I went to Trondheim a few times (some 15-20 years ago) for business. The Trondheim university department - famous for their biology department - showed us around, pleasant stays, pleasant times. I remember it was always hard to find sleep in dark hotel rooms. The (almost-) midnight sun spoke to our southern souls and bodies, and didn't let us sleep no matter how thick the curtains. And I remember many of the (then new) tunnels around the city. As I know all too well from Austria, tunnels and motorcycles are a bad, bad combination. One oncoming truck can ruin your hearing, if you're not well prepared.
Anyway, thank you all that much for your advice. Will study a few maps, give my rain gear a good going-over, and dream of a trip to (probably the south of) Norway in a less Covid-stricken year 2022 ... if Covid ever lets us off its fangs.
