After going back and reading your first post, where you said you stopped and could see the pads holding the caliper, I'd agree you were not riding the brake. Instead I think something else was wrong. And that was covered in some above posts.

Have you resolved this yet?

My first rear pads swap showed uneven wear on the pads and that's bc the angle mount of the calipers on my bike was supposedly 'off' per my mechanic. This was 4yrs back when i first serviced them and mechanic reported that the drill holes for mount were on an angle that wasn't perpendicular which would add up to why pads had uneven wear (quite significant too). He tried to remedy this by correcting angle of caliper mount and since that I've had even wear of rear pads so it did work.

The bike never felt odd to me until i hit 20k miles and maybe that ever-so-slight difference of angle took its toll on the rear rotor finally. Maybe I'd have had this problem occur far earlier in my mileage if mechanic didn't correct it initially.

Bike is now in the shop as of Tuesday so i hope to have it wrapped up before Labor Day. I do feel a bit slighted about having to make up for a factory defect which is not cheap given rotor will be $300 alone. However the maintenance of my CB is the only thing that I've had to worry about. No electrical, engine or handling problems have ever arose over the life of this bike. I love the reliability of a solid machine and Honda has set the bar high on this model.

Defer to the route that gives you the most smiles per gallon.
