As a former service manager who has written hundreds of estimates, I would not recommend authorizing repair until the estimate is agreed upon. It is your right to accept or dispute the estimate.
Insurance companies don't want to pay for a partial repair, then find out they have to total the bike. That is usually what happens with a bent frame.
Here's the bizarre thing, I towed the bike to my house after the accident, the insurance company sent an adjuster to my house, and said he had to pay me something for his viewing, and gave me a very unnecessary payout of a couple of hundred dollars, without an inspection from a mechanic. He said he had to payout based on his estimations and that the mechanic would be able to change that if needed. Thats probably only the cosmetic damages, I know for a fact as per the mechanic that the swing arm is bent. That part alone is more then the entire payout they already made.
It is in fact a honda dealer.

They all happened in broad day light. Either fully stopped at a red light or stop sign. The most recent was at a merge on a highway, he thought I went - I didn't, he turned his head, slams the gas pedal, and slams into me.
