Hi Guys
Long time reader, first time poster. Learned lots of great things about the bike on this forum. Thanks for all the info!
I purchased a used 2014 deluxe last year late September, basically had it for about a year. Within these past 12 months, I've been rear ended 4 times. Every single time - I was stopped at a stop sign. Every. Single. Time.
This last time about 3 weeks ago, I got hit hard. Couldn't drive the vehicle back. First thing I noticed was the saddle being a bit loose. I took the bike to my local shop which will remain anonymous, and they said the frame wasn't bent. I'm not a mechanic, but it seems to me the saddle is attached directly to the frame. If the frame was bent, would that possible cause the saddle to loosen up? The mechanic pretty much accused me of trying to total the bike, all I care about is that arse is safe going down the highway.
So how loose is it? I have 2 seats, a corbin and the stock seat. Both would be rock solid when installed. Wouldn't budge. Now it has at least an inch play upward after being locked in place - could there be something else bent that would cause the seat to loosen up?
Do you guys think it's possible for the saddle to be loose without frame damage? Thanks in advance.
