On the way back to Denver, daughter opted for a more scenic route than interstate 70 and went through Evergreen, home to our now departed Eric-Long Ranger.

Wife and I had not visited daughter in Colorado for quite some time. This would have been an opportunity to visit Eric, but, alas that opportunity is forever lost.

We cruised around the lake and then the neighborhood. Spotted a huge bull elk in a front yard and then a herd of 50+ elk on a side street.
