Haha! I'd like to visit Australia just to take in all the crazy names.
RE: "Boorowa".... seriously?
RE: "Wyangala Dam" ... why not? Every time I read your reports and come across such names, I always "hear" my Australian brother-in-law's voice pronouncing them.
RE: "Kiandra...Cabramurra...Tumut...Corryong...Walwa..." It's as if the director of Star Wars visited Australia before making the movies and used the funky names as inspiration for names of places in the series.
RE: "Mitta Mitta" so...I think I understand now. If Goonoo Goonoo is actually pronouned "Gunny Gunoo", then please tell me that Mitta Mitta is actually pronounced "Mighty Mutta". Am I close?
Awesome ride report. Very enjoyable.
Sadly not, pdedse. I wish you were. Mitta Mitta is pronounced as it reads. It is usually shortened to Mitta. There's also a place called Wagga Wagga — not unreasonable far from Boorowa — pronounced as it sounds but usually shortened to just Wagga.

No one can say you're not a rider!
Thank you (and to peterbaron) for the congratulations on the milestone. Moving back to the city and Covid have brought about a change in my riding habits, and not for the better. Still, I'm lucky to be able to get away for a couple of good rides each year. if this year goes according to plan, I won't be on the bike much at all until the end of it.
