Bar End Mirrors

I thought I wanted them, but they ended up making my throttle stick slightly when closing her up.

Anyway if anybody is curious on the looks, here are some pics

To take out the stock bar end, be aware that there are two tabs on it that go into holes inside the handle bar.




Stock mirrors look great anyways.

After googling bar ends, I discovered weighted bar ends are used to help limit the vibrations felt from the handlebars, keeping your hands from going numb or fatigue on long rides. Maybe most of you knew, but I thought they were mainly used to protect the handlebars if the bike was ever accidentally tipped over.

I was going to try Napoleons on mine, but could not get the bar weights out of the handlebars. The service manual says to hold the weight and turn the screw out, but mine must have red lactite -- they will not budge. How did you get yours out? And even before I tried to take them off, the left weight had moved out about 1/2 inch compared to the right side.

I don't think I like the Naps as well as the stock mirrors.
