RE: went with the 2-bros
one more comment on the Staintune... almost every time I was listening to it for the past 2 weeks, I had on my new Bell RS-1 helmet which apparently is a lot better at soundproofing than my 10 yr old Shoei.
The other day when I was showing the bike to a friend and neither of us had on helmets, the Staintune put out a very decent tone. And yet, as others have pointed out, once at about 70 mph, the output is barely enough to overcome wind noise unless you are in rapid acceleration.
[/i]I find it to be just about perfect as I had grown tired of the loud loud pipes from HardKrome on my old 750 and 1100. So I love the Staintune, I only wish its cost were more in line with the 2 Bros or Yoshimura (and I still have yet to see a video of the Yosh slip-on). Fast approaching 500 miles on the ODO which is more than it sounds with the recent Oregon damp weather.
