I am in no way endorsing this product but its just an idea. I know LED is the way of the future in lighting and not HID for reasons RandyB stated above plus LED is plug and play with no ballast. HD has had their own for a while and it gets rave reviews but very pricey. I dont know the size of the CB head light but you can just google motorcycle led headlight and get a ton of results.

Just to add you should save a bunch of energy and have superior lighting to boot with LED.
