Wait........where is the matching Comet fairing, surely on back order?

I was thinking about that. A Comet with the matching tank stripe would really complete the look. I've decided to stick with the little Deflector windshield instead.

I think case savers look better and go with the retro look of the CB better than sliders. Younger folks may well think other wise. At least we have choices.

I gotta stop looking at matching side covers. Those are very very nice.

I know what you're saying; they definitely carry more of the retro look, and are actually probably better protection-wise. But I'm not a "younger folk" (far from - ha!) and I've just never been a fan of the way they look. In fact, when we were kids, we called them "old man bars" (no offense intended to anyone here sporting them, of course!).
I ended up going with the Moriwaki frame sliders because they'll certainly help if the need arises, and they're a lot less obtrusive looking. Mind you, this is just one man's opinion - as you stated, it's nice that we've got these choices!

Mine are pretty unobtrusive compared to the giant crash bars that were popular when I was a beginner. Remember these?



I've actually have one of these sitting in my garage. I think it's from a KZ750.

They were wonderful things. I had them front and rear on my CB175 and they were very useful for resting the bike on it's side and not damaging the engine. I had front ones on a Suzuki 250 I had which saved my left leg from really serious damage when a dill in a cage tried to t-bone me.

Edit: sadly the ones at Samurider are really ugly or I'd think about putting them on the CB1100 for old time's sake.
