Actually it’s 4th Street bridge. You can tell by the vertical cupolas spaced along the edges. Best movie scene from 4th Street is Lee Marvin leaning on one of those verticals to line up a rifle shot in Point Blank in ‘68.

Sadly the 6th Street bridge is long gone. When built around ‘32, chemistry wasn’t as well though out. From LA Consevancy people I’ve spoken with, Portland cement didn’t work well with local LA sand, and the bridge started to dissolve when wet. It has been painted constantly to help protect it but it got to the point that it was no longer safe.

Very sad, it was an LA landmark for years. I can’t tell from the construction of the new bridge so far if it will bear a resemblance to the original.
