No need to pull the wheel off. Spray the paint in a small container, then use fine (2mm) brush and apply paint on ring and the inner cylindrical surface. I didn't bother to paint the far side of the ring; it's next to impossible to reach past the brake discs and between the spokes, as you can see here:

* Big fat 2013 chrome meter covers crammed to fit 2014EX
* Chrome headlight case
* Kawasaki W650 gaiters
* Fenda Extenda
* JMP analog oil temp gauge
* Painted gold brake disc connector rings
* "Designed by Mitsuyoshi Kohama" sticker
