G'day Mature Cheese
The "Observed Valve Clearance" started by Pterodactyl many years ago, it is a table of actual check results by members of the forum at various distance ridden points and the results found.
Based on that I made the decision to not do the check at the interval recommended.
My chain and sprockets are near to change out but not there yet at 60.000km.
I change the oil at 6.000km as per Hondas guidance for my year model, I understand it is now 12.000km stand to be corrected.
I have a recollection of a bike having 160.000km on the clock with one adjustment (still in spec) in that time but all other checks in Spec.
I hope that on reflection you might retain your CB1100.
