RE: Has anyone changed the gearing?

If I want to experiment with one extra front tooth, at 2000 miles, will I care about changing chain at all? I don't mind to spend $15 for a front sprocket self serviced. I however think about my riding style - 85% seat time at 70 mph 4k rpm, 5th gear at 35 MPH in city, will 400 rpm lower affect the engine response?

I might do it, if I don't like the result, I can always change back as i about to adjust the chain slack in near future. It is nice to run the bike at 60 mph at 3k rpm

Ie: if you are running a given speed at 5000, going up 1 tooth on the counter will net 4600 at the same speed. Conversely it will make it slightly harder to take off, and might require a downshift for going up hill or passing.
