No you're not. Ride in your comfort zone. Don't get out of bed one morning and say "I think I'll put the pegs down today". It's your bike, your life. Stuff what anyone else does. If you want to push the envelope then do it in such a way that your comfort zone expands. Rider courses, study technique, work hard on it and up to it etc. Better qualified people than me can tell, and show, you how.
