Bridgestone T30 Rear

I've just had a T30 Evo 140/70 installed. I managed to get a work colleague to bring one back from Japan. It cost me just under NZD$240 (approx USD$167). My previous BT54 rear tyre lasted 15,000Km and I'd already replaced the front with a T30 at around 12000Km, so I'll be interested to see what mileage I get out of the T30's. While checking the bike over for the cause of a surge around 2200 - 2400 rpm my Honda dealer found there was excessive play in the LH swing arm bearing causing the swing arm to move at the pivot which I thought was really bizarre particularly as no one else has reported such an issue that I could find. Thankfully Honda covered the repair under warranty as the bike is over 2 1/2 years old but even with the new bearings installed, apparently they had to shim the bearings to totally eliminate all clearance. Its been almost 4 weeks off the road so I'm certainly pleased to be back riding again.
