I had 2 Sportsters. My first was a 59 in 1969. My second a new 94 that my wife bought me for Christmas that year because she knew I liked them. Have always liked Sportsters not for what they could be, because they can never be anything but what they are. Raw, primitive, unsophisticated and stubborn (well my 59 was...kick start only and you'd better know the drill and follow it to the letter). The elemental motorcycle.
If I could only have one motorcycle in the garage... it sure wouldn't be a Sportster lol
Agreed Mick. Having a Sportster as your only bike would be akin to having a topless Jeep CJ-5 as your only car.
