The resolution of the image is not so good but I think your pointing to the round shiny section of the throttle body. It's usually a dull silver component installed as a seal. Lots of folks glue in a shiny coin to dress it up a little. The engine looks quite different because of the modification mentioned by Cormanus, removal of the standard air box and four individual filters fitted in its place ... way cool IMO.
