Yes I did. And it was kind of a nightmare. I was at a Casino and parked my bike in the motorcycle parking area. I used the helmet lock on my bike to attach the d-rings to the lock. Came out later and discovered that the helmet was gone and the dring was all that was left of it and still attached to the bike. I immediately figured that some complete a-hole, another rider who was parked near me, probably had a unexpected passenger (sleazy pickup, drug buddy, etc) and just cut the strap off the lock so he now had a lid for his passenger, which thet probably tossed after that 1 use. Most fullface helmet dont need the strap to stay on at reasonable speeds. Being that the helmet law in Cali means I'd be pulled over immediately, I called the cops who stopped by and asked them if they could maybe escort me to a nearby bike shop....they said no way. I didnt have anyone I could call at that time to bring me a helmet...and I was about 25 miles from home. I went on a forum for riders here in the Bay Area called BARF and put out a call for help. A stranger who lived near me brought me a helmet and drove back with me. I offered him cash for his help and he refused. It was about 4 hours after I first discovered the theft until
