I have never had a helmet stolen, but that is probably because I never leave it on the bike. Other than somebody stealing the helmet, there is also the concern that if you used the helmet lock like on the CB1100 a dog comes by to relieve themselves on it, or somebody dropping something else in it like an ice cream etc.
I have had bikes stolen though, but there is not much you can do against that if the thieves are committed.
