Anyone ever have a helmet stolen?

I had one cut off from the helmet lock. What is with that? The helmet is useless to the clueless dolt that took it. Simple malice? There is plenty of that around.

Now I may leave it on the bike, but don't bother to lock it. Perhaps the dolt will actually use it. But then, what will that do to the gene pool?
