If you see how they make the hand bent pipes, i thinks the difference in cost is much in the workmanship. It's more aesthetic compared to machine bent pipes as well. For performance and scavenging, only experts with tests can tell how much difference in sound and performance.

The skill of the bender in that video was fascinating. At teh very beginning, you could see a bar pushed inside the tube. I wonder if the bar was connected to a series of round mandrels that would prevent the pipe from kinking. Or was it just a characteristic of the titanium material or the very gradual bend. In any case, it makes for a beautiful pipe, well worth a 15% price premium.
