We moved to California in the early 70's and ended up in Torrance for a year while the Ole Man looked to buy a house. Torrance was a strange place for a kid from rural New York State. Indeed their was "Pot" everywhere, something that I had not even heard of before. This was a time before DARE and just say no, but I never tried it. I was a Jock type and didn't smoke anything anyway. Looks like Gordy did a bang-up business in the spirt of capitalism! Later while in High School in the SFV a buddy had a van too, but we used it for other carnal pursuits! Ha ha.
