In my youth, a little known technique to effortlessly operate a motorcycle center stand was revealed to me. I am bound by sacred oath not to reveal the details, but I can say that it involves the use of an old Indian trick known by some as the push-down-hard maneuver while using the magic of leverage at the same time.

when properly executed, it completely isolates the side stand from the center stand and makes side stand up, down, or anything in between completely irrelevant and independent from operation of the center stand.
