I want to thank CIP57 and HondaJon for slapping me up a bit and making me see the light, Tonight I will be removing that 10w40 from my bike and putting in 10w30.

So strange how initial start up and warm up things sound good then go for a little ride and you get the noise again...

I would change the filter, you never know if there is a partial restriction or the filter sat out in the shop opened for a length of time. They come wrapped in plastic to prevent anything from getting inside. Let the bike run on the center stand not the side stand for at least 5-10 minutes to let the oil cooler oil mix with the new oil.
