My taillight mod almost done.....

I'm trying to get my head round how to "mask" those holes on my CB750'd rear light mudguard - they're redundant holes like yours, although not quite the same - they're just two M8/M10 holes.
I have chromed coachbolts to fit, as I think that welding them, grinding smooth, then rechroming is just over-the-top for what I'm doing to the 'bike. But that's still an option.

I did get an estimate for smoothing out the fender,anywhere from $600-$1000. I do like the initial shape of the taillight,just don’t like how long it is.
