My taillight mod almost done.....

Wow nice work. What is the rubber pad looking thing on the fender for?

It’s a bezel I made to cover this raised area. To fill in the open area of the back of the taillight I bonded a piece of ABS plastic to the housing,filled the backside with fiberglass resin then shaped it. I used fiberglass to bond parts of it together then I used JB Weld as a filler,the stuff is hard as concrete once it sets up and easy to mold. Everything visible on the backside of the taillight is hand formed.

The stock taillight has 2 mounting points,the small bezel covers the area at the front of the stock taillight mount. If you look at the stock taillight here you can see the various parts I’ve used from it.
