I'm possibly too OCD

Christmas: Our annual routine is to not listen to Christmas music until we leave my mom's house on the Friday after Thanksgiving and head to my wife's folks. I usually issue some sort of command during the drive like "Christmas commencing in 3,2,1" and then I switch our play list to "Holiday Classics". I am planning on getting a Santa Claus helmet cover this year.

Side Stand: That is weird, but I will admit I've tried to attach a rubber foot under the side stand of some of my bikes. Due to the dynamics of force applied between the stand and the ground, they never stay where you put them. I do, however, put a rubber mat on the floor before putting any of my bikes on the center stand, and keep the center stand feet scratch-free.

The Mule Bike: Been there, tried that, couldn't stand having a rough looking bike, had to restore it.

RE: Side/Center Stand Feet:

Mine just corrode. They really glow orange during the winter when the roads are at salt peak. I have never lost a stand due to Canadian winter rust. However, if not coated in chain splash lubrication (over time), they will peel, bubble and chip.

For some, the ultimate freedom in untethered-worry riding. Of course, they still need to be reliable.
