good point G.O... my theory is to buy gloves that might get a little too warm, then turn them down a notch.. I have had my gerbings for 6 years or so and find I use them on high almost all of the time, turning them down a little as I return to ventura and civilization .. just like with your bike, sometimes you wish for just a little more horse power..

question on the gerbings... can you buy extra batteries and just switch them out if you are on a long ride? .. how about having an extra battery pack and then rigging up a charger for them on the bike ? how long does it take to re-charge them ? ..
