I've added data centers to almost every dash I've ever sat down in front of; boats, bikes, cars.
My last boat had only one systems gauge, engine temp, and some idiot lights. I added a voltmeter and engine oil pressure. Bought some faux Stewart Warner gauges, made two housings out of PVC end caps, wired them up and mounted them under the radar screen. Worked great. A previous bike had a gear indicator but the display was so tiny it was very hard to read. I stuck a thin sheet of magnifier plastic over it, improved it somewhat. I added a set of under dash gauges to an old El Camino I used to have. I am one of the few guys I know who still wears an analog watch.
