I removed the end cap, cut off the snooter pipe, and drilled a circle of 5/8" holes in the plate. I reinstalled the end cap with a bead of high temp exhaust sealant around the base. I let the sealant fully cure for 48 hours before starting the bike. My bike sounds much better now with a slight growl that is not much louder than stock. The sealant helps keep the lean popping to a minimum.
