That's quite the story...my first bike as an adult was a Sportster...can't imagine what she must have been feeling as she looked at her brand new bike at the bottom of the sea. You say she learned to ride her Sportster...so it wasn't totalled?

It was in surprisingly good shape. After we got it out, the light was still on, even though it was half full of water. I told her to just put a gold-fish in it and go. There was no crash damage that I could see. No dents or scrapes. She was bruised and sore from taking out the fence. She had the dealer pick it up and they had it for three weeks and it looked like new when she got it back. I thought all she really needed to do was change the oil and fuel and it should be good, since they do sit in the rain sometimes anyway. But it was her baby and she did it the right way.
