This blue tank 17500-MGC-JG0ZA can still be purchased in the UK via David Silver Spares. They quote a 5 week delivery period (direct from Japan I suspect). You just have to change over the fuel cap but that should be easy enough. Pricey but glad it exists to buy should you feel that way inclined.

Thanks for the info. Can you confirm that's the correct part number for the blue? I've tried several places and they need the VIN to confirm the color code. I don't have a VIN on a blue one.

This seems to reference blue in the Switzerland row but not to be relied on. If I change the last digit to B look what happens to the table after this one.
