Is it "hot" behind the screen during the TN summer?

(+1) on Ferret's flex question.

Being as it is already 90+ DegF outside, hot is relative. It hasn't made any difference in riding temperature with or without the windshield. There is enough air coming around it either way for comfort until you stop somewhere. Then it is hot regardless.

The flexing isn't a problem. I was surprised actually. You can see the braces that attach to my handlebar brackets. I was watching that closely myself and the stability is good. I don't normally ride on the freeway or those speeds, but I did take it out at 70mph just to see how the windshield performed. It was just find. No vibration or tank slappers Smile

The most noticeable difference so far is how I tend to drive a little faster with the windshield on it. Not nearly as much turbulence in my face as a rider might expect. I use a 3/4 helmet because it is much cooler than a full face model on these hot southern summer days. I have a big ole pair of "old man" sunglasses that go over my prescription glasses and they fit nicely in the curvature of the helmet opening. Those large sunglasses catch any stray bugs, grit, or gravels that come along. They are polycarbonate safety lens.

I will post it should anything negative on the windshield come up as I get more miles with the higher windshield.

As I said, the windshield came to me as is when I bought the bike used. I noticed it is a "Parrebellum" brand. I found their website. I saw something similar from "National Cycle" in a picture. I had this one already, so I am making use of it this first summer with the new to me CB1100. Next year we might do something different.
