Very well said cb400four. If you want a daily rider that doesn't require much initial work, expect to pay $3500 to $5000. If you want a concours edition all correct low mileage garage queen $6-$10K. If you find one for less than $2500 its a project.
Just saw at one of the auctions a standard late 60s Bonneville resto went for $ 14,500 for what was basically a $3500 bike 10 years ago. Baby boomers are not afraid to spend some disposable income on nostalgia.there were lots of Bonnevilles sold over many years, there were only a few thousand CB 1100Fs all sold in 1 year.
There are a few old bikes Id like to have but they are quickly getting priced out of my affordability budget.
