It cracks me up somewhat that people don't think the CB 1100 is capable of high speed runs when in 1928 a fellow on a factory 500 Rudge set the two hour record at over 100 mph and in the 1930s on pre war steel frames, spindly azz spoked wheels, pre ww2 rubber, really basic suspension, sucky drum brakes and crappy roads the production Rudge 500 like the one your buddy is riding could be run at 90 mph.
