Thanks for your helpful input, Guth. A "heavy" bike is what I'm trying to avoid. On the other hand, I was under the impression the Hawk GT had more of a neutral riding position. I definitely need to avoid the more aggressive riding position of the Hawk you've described. I already have the Bonnie configured as a mild café racer and no longer enjoy the "cramped" feeling, with the wrists taking more abuse.
I saw a black 2014 standard in the wild (on the road) a few days ago and can't deny I still want one. I also currently have the funds to pay cash for one, but I don't want to rush into another impulse buy per my usual MO. As of last night I also have an opportunity to buy a nice used Triumph Tiger. It's a clean, well cared for 2006 model w/ 10K miles. I like it, it's been lowered, love the idea of detachable hard bags, just not convinced I'll still enjoy it a few years from now.
If I buy a CB11 I figure I can at least still enjoy looking at it long after I can no longer ride it.
