I bought a new 2012 model and have been very pleased with it. Had a couple of warranty issues that were fixed for free. BMW's warranty is valid for 36 months and is transferable. It's engine has a broad torque curve like our CB1100's - just a lot more of it. Heavier than our Honda's but you'll only notice that when pushing it around the garage. The bike actually handles more lightly than my CB. The K1600's have won numerous "motorcycle of the year" awards for good reason. Sounds like you found a low mile GTL - just be sure all the scheduled services have been done.
