Complicated and first couple of years were trouble prone. Seems that if you get one that has issues, it has A LOT of issues. Six out of the last ten bikes I owned were BMWs. They are VERY expensive to repair. Notice I now own two Hondas. That's not by accident. You can read up a lot on them at bmwmoa.org
