I never had a KLR but had a couple of 250 DS bikes. When I was in Biss. we had a lot of customers who had KLRs. The neat thing about KLRs is they made them for so long you can find used ones in just about any price range if you are willing to put a little work into them.
Keep the CB, now is a great time to buy used.
