Since the Versys is on your list you might wish to try a V-strom. Smoother than the Versys on the highway and a really fine stock seat. Plenty of leg room and pretty decent off road ability with the right tires. Like the Versys, lots of them on the used market at bargain prices. Whitehorse Gear has a section of their catalog dedicated to making your V-strom your own.
