My wife and I learned to ride on a scooter. Then we had CBR250Rs for until 2013 when I fell in love with the CB1100 and she fell in love with the CTX. Redbirds is correct one of the reasons that she opted for the CTX was the cruiser seating position. I wouldn't say she was intimidated by other bikes, but she felt it would be more comfortable touring on it than on any of the other small to mid displacement Hondas (The NX700 is too tall for her, but may have been a good choice, too).
Anyhow, back on topic... The CB300 is a wonderful looking bike and I wouldn't be surprised if Hedge doesn't "steal" it from her on certain occasions. I know I would.
