I know you guys have a lot of older carburated (sp 
bikes and I thought I would throw this out. I have a 2005 HD sportster with carbs, (which I am selling because it is being replaced by a CB 1100 DLX) and last fall it started running poorly. It seemed to have a dead spot in the throttle. It idles fine and dead spot started to be at low revs but increased into higher revs as time went on. If I clutched and reved it seemed to help for a while, but then get worse again. Anyways, I started by ordering a new air filter and plugs, which I haven't changed in 2 years, won't hurt even if doesn't solve the problem. I'm not a mechanic so i'm really not too confident in taking the carbs apart, but I thought it wise to run some carb cleaner through the tank. Any advise ?
