I never really understood why some car & motorcycle manufacturers give their new models fancy names like e.g. Goldwing, while other models get a boring set of seemingly random letters + numbers, like CB1100. The CB part seems to truly have no meaning whatsoever (according to [url=https://www.jpcycles.com/countersteer/lifestyle/what-does-hondas-cb-stand-for]this article).
I refer to my CB1100 as "the Honda". I don't think it needs a special name - it is such a classic Honda design that it is basically the mother of all Hondas...
