As for that center stand pivot, not advisable. The BMW center stand is not that strong. More importantly, this maneuver puts a lot of stress on the mounting tabs on the frame. Over time the pivot bolts will wear out and the frame tabs will bend, I know, I've had to repair both flaws on my R100S.
