I get a lot of compliments when I take my 1100 for a ride. Just as many as my original 75 CB750. Guys have never seen one and they think it's old and they ask me if I restored it. When I tell them it is new they are really impressed, especially when I mention the fuel injection and point out that it really is air cooled. I believe if Honda dealers stuck their unsold 11's out in front where people could see them, they would sell, quick.
No, it was done for the Octane launch at the Daytona Bike Week. It is, apparently, a "performance cruiser". Sort of an oxymoron, with the emphasis on the last two syllables.
Cheers On reflection, if the CB had had a launch like that there might be a few more around. The number of members on this forum, including me, who say, "I walked into a showroom and, strike a light, I saw this bike, thought it was a resto job and ..............."
